Tzatziki

We love making our own tzatziki, a Greek yogurt dip which is a perfect accompaniment for baked or fried dishes. Here's my recipe for it.

TZATZIKI

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced finely
1 tablespoonn salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
300 grams yogurt
200 grams sour cream
2 cucumbers, grated
15 grams chopped fresh dill

Procedure:

1.  In a bowl, combine olive  oil, vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper and the grated cucumber.


2.  Add the yogurt and sour cream into the bowl and mix with a wire whisk.


3.  Mix well and add the freshly chopped dill.  Chill for at least two hours. I find that it tastes better the next day, so if you have the time, make this a day before serving.
